SQNPI 2024, the new provisions

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry has published the new provisions regarding membership of the National Integrated Production Quality System - SQNPI , applicable to 2024 .

To maintain active membership of the System, each operator must submit the update request on the ministerial portal every year .

The submission deadlines defined for the year 2024 are:

PRODUCERS (agricultural companies)

• membership of the SQNPI for certification purposes or for certification purposes + ACA compliance: by May 15th

• membership of the SQNPI for ACA compliance purposes: by May 15th or date established by the territorially competent Region if different from that provided for in the law.

AIR CONDITIONERS, TRANSFORMERS AND DISTRIBUTORS

By May 15th
The application can be made exclusively to obtain the trademark.

The application deadline for obtaining the SQNPI mark is peremptory and, therefore, the possibility of submitting the application after this deadline can only be accepted in cases where technical problems beyond the control of the applicant are identified.

Also for 2024, ministerial provisions require the Control Body to carry out verification activities at agricultural companies by 31 October and at air conditioners, transformers and distributors by 15 December.

Companies interested in maintaining SQNPI certification must therefore proceed with the submission of the update request on the ministerial portal no later than May 15, 2024.
