In the framework of a national oncology congress, Massimo Dutto , Head of the Life Sciences Division of CSQA , delivered the ISO 9001 certificate of conformity for the Clinical to Salvatore Pisconti, director of the complex medical oncology structure , and to the general director Vito Gregorio Colacicco. The project, launched in 2019 as a particular path for clinical research certification of oncology trials, aimed to increase patient enrollment in trials and clinical studies.
The process has indicators defined and monitored annually by an external body, a further guarantee for the patient.
The project also allows patients to access innovative therapies at zero cost , with added value both for those who are more refractory to standard treatments and to reduce mobility outside the Region, in addition to the guarantee of income from clinical trials.
Specifically, the project resulted in a 150% increase in activated trials, 66 patients included in clinical trials and 22 patients in follow-up for scientific studies , numbers which allowed savings in oncology pharmaceutical spending of over 160 thousand euros per 2023 for Moscati, confirmed as a hub in the diagnosis and treatment of solid tumors.
