Innovation will be the keyword of the 2019 edition of TUTTOFOOD, the international B2B trade fair dedicated to the food sector which will take place in Milan from 6 to 9 May. The novelty of this edition will in fact be TUTTODIGITAL, the area entirely set up to give visibility to the innovations that are supporting and transforming the agri-food chain, thanks to the contribution of companies and start-ups. A fundamental step to find new digital tools that satisfy consumers' need to find information about the products they buy.
The central element of the area dedicated to food tech will be Blockchain Plaza , a new project conceived by CSQA - Europe's leading certification body for the agri-food sector - and Euranet - a compliance consultancy and technology company - to share experiences, ideas and proposals on blockchain issues for the agri-food sector. An unprecedented initiative on the element that today represents the real innovation to implement tracking and tracing , anti-counterfeiting and fraud control .
The objective of Blockchain Plaza is in fact to become the meeting and comparison point between companies and companies of the agri-food chains for the development of the Italian "Data Economy". An ambitious project born from the collaboration of leading companies from various sectors and with different know-how. In fact, the following have joined the initiative as sponsoring companies: Amazon Web Services (AWS), InfoCert , GS1 Italy , Becker LLC , Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato Italiano , TechData .
Two appointments at Blockchain Plaza: the opening event on the state of the art of food blockchain on Monday 6 May which will see the intervention of the Minister of Agricultural Policies and Tourism Gian Marco Centinaio and the presentation of the first company Case Histories to be held on Wednesday 8 May.
THE EVENTS IN PROGRAM
Monday 6 May 2019 – “Event opening” Event on the challenges and prospects of the blockchain in the food sector with reports by Minister Centinaio and Filippo Maria Renga, Director of the Smart Agrifood Observatory which will be followed by a round table on the theme "Food Blockchain: expectations, objectives, opportunities" held by: Amazon Web Services, TechData, GS1-Italy, InfoCert, Becker LCC, ORIGIN Italy, Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato Italiano, CSQA Certifications and Euranet and moderated by Mauro Rosati , Director General of the Quali Foundation life. Round table on the first results and developments of Blockchain Plaza held by the founding and promoting companies, followed by the story of the first 4 Case Histories of the use of blockchain technology in Italian quality supply chains thanks to the interventions of: Stefano Berni , Director of the Consortium for the Protection of Grana Padano, Federico De Simoni , Director of the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Nino Scivoletto , Director of the Consortium for the Protection of Modica Chocolate and Antonio Bortoli, General Manager of Milk busche.
