
A positive 2024 is indicated by the figures in the budget of the sector made up of 14 companies certified by the CSQA control body .
Production exceeds 12,600 tons (+6.52% on 2023), the value at consumption stands at 480 million euros (+6.52%) and the employment impact on the territory – direct and induced – also increases by +4%.
Large-scale retail trade confirms itself as the main sales channel for Bresaola della Valtellina PGI, with 77% of total production.
Also growing are the numbers related to exports , which represent 5% of production, with a value of 14 million euros (+4.64%) against 632 tons of bresaola, in EU countries (72% +3.2% on 2023) and non-EU countries (28% +8.5% on 2023).
