It is in the breeding that the guarantees of health and quality of primary production of animal origin are created. And it is the Veterinarian in self-control who accompanies the operator to the "green light", the signal of the conformity of the establishment to the requirements requested by the regulations, by the CAP and by the SQNBA system. SivarSib seminar on April 17, in collaboration with ANMVI.

In the decisive year for the National Animal Welfare Quality System (SQNBA) , the scientific society SivarSib offers its members a day of theoretical and practical insights, immediately applicable in the professional field. Thursday 17 April, in the Cremona headquarters of Palazzo Trecchi, the President Vito Loconte will open the free seminar " The Veterinarian in self-control " (here the program ) organized in collaboration with the National Association of Italian Veterinary Doctors. The seminar intends to offer members who practice in breeding elements of professional preparation, also useful in the official control phase and evaluation of the certification body.

Veterinary activities in primary production respond to health purposes, pursuant to the European Animal Health Law and its national legislative acts. Prevention and control of animal diseases also have implications for official planning. SivarSib invited Giovanni Albrici , Veterinary Director of the ATS of Bergamo, to speak about it.

Self-control also creates the conditions to allow the operator and the primary establishment to satisfy the requirements set by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP): the reduction of antibiotics ( Ecoscheme - Level 1 ) and the SQNBA quality certification (Ecoscheme - Level 2).

Since February 26, certification bodies can request accreditation to certify operators according to the SQNBA specifications, based on the technical procedures established by Accredia , as the sole national accreditation body. Silvia Tramontin , Deputy General Manager of Accredia, and Stefania Scevola , Technical Officer of the food area of Accredia, will talk about it.
The role of certification bodies, including in interaction with the Evaluating Veterinarians, will be described by Francesca Ceola, CSQA Scheme Manager SQNBA , and by Marco Gasparotto , Technical Manager for Processed Meats, DOP, IGP, STG Productions.
