
Prosciutto di Parma relies on Politecnico di Milano, Enersem and Csqa to manage the ecological transition of its companies.
Launched in 2022, following the European project TTGG Life , the project aimed to optimise the sustainability performance of producers.
Initially, the environmental footprint of the Parma Ham sector was calculated using the EU Commission's Product Environmental Footprint method to assess the impact of production activities on the environment.
With the data from this phase, the consortium has filed the product category rules (Rcp) with the Ministry of the Environment and requested the activation of the made Green in Italy national certification scheme on the environmental footprint.
