The presentation of the “ LIFE Svolta Blu ” project, financed by the community programme LIFE – Climate Governance and Information with a total budget of 2,025,510 euros , was held at the Risorgive del Bacchiglione nature area in Dueville.
The main actors of “LIFE Svolta Blu” are Viacqua , which plays the role of leader, ANBI Veneto, an association that represents all the land reclamation consortia in the region, the Alta Pianura Veneta Land Reclamation Consortium, the Palazzo Festari IPA Vicentino Foundation, the University of Padua with its departments ICEA (Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering) and TESAF (Territory and Agro-Forestry Systems) and CSQA .
Launched on October 1, 2024 and with a duration of 40 months, the project intends to promote water efficiency interventions in the Vicenza area through the development and validation of a voluntary system for the exchange of "blue credits" that will help mobilize private capital to support the implementation of concrete and widespread interventions for saving, restoring and conserving water. The activities will focus on an area of the Vicenza plain that, with its watercourses and underground aquifers, is essential for the water supply of Vicenza and Padua.
