The Ministry of Ecological Transition, in collaboration with the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, has published the National Platform on adaptation to climate change , with the general purpose of informing, raising awareness and making data and operational tools available to all citizens, promoting and supporting Local Authorities in decision-making and planning processes regarding adaptation to climate change, as well as providing the information contained within the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC) , currently being defined as part of the Evaluation procedure Environmental Strategic ongoing.
The Platform, in particular, intends to facilitate access and sharing of data and information on:
- observed and future climate changes;
- impacts and vulnerabilities of regions, natural systems and socio-economic sectors;
- institutional levels operating on the subject;
- adaptation strategies and plans at different administrative levels;
- possible adaptation actions.
