The Opera della Primaziale Pisana , thanks to the collaboration with the relevant structure of the Unione Industriale Pisana, has received the Gender Equality Certification from CSQA, in compliance with the reference practice UNI/PdR 125:2022 .
The President of the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, Andrea Maestrelli , declared on this occasion that: "This is a very important objective, another stage in the path that the Deputation has strongly desired in the context of ESG (Environmental, Social , Governance), aimed at measuring the sustainability and social impact of a company or economic activity. This path has led the Opera della Primaziale to adopt a Code of Ethics and will continue with ever greater attention to environmental sustainability." .
“The Square of Miracles in Pisa - underlined Maestrelli - is under the eyes of the whole world and for this reason we believe we have a greater responsibility in setting a good example .
In this first year of government, this Deputation has already carried out various projects in this direction. I would like to remember, on this occasion, the Ethical Choice project , created in collaboration with some local cooperatives and third sector bodies, to create fabric stoles necessary in the summer months to enter places of worship, in compliance with dress standards.
An initiative which, in addition to avoiding waste, guarantees an inclusive and sustainable work chain, and which is enjoying great success".
Today the Opera della Primaziale Pisana has a staff of 156 employees of which 45% are women and with the Gender Equality Certification highlights the values it intends to pursue, promoting equal opportunities for women and men , creating an inclusive environment and underlining its social commitment.
In particular, the Opera della Primaziale Pisana promotes welfare and well-being policies and actions, promoting work-life conciliation, pay equity, equal opportunities in selection, growth and development.
The introduction of a gender equality certification system aims to promote greater inclusion of women in the labor market: an essential tool for improving social and territorial cohesion, as well as of fundamental importance for economic growth.
The certificate presupposes a process of periodic checks and controls in the direction of growth and ever greater attention to gender equality. (Source: https://www.lanazione.it/ )
