With Departmental Decree n. 124900 of 03/16/2022, the Disciplinary of the certification system of the Sustainability of the Wine Production Chain was approved.

This is the technical standard of a unitary sustainability certification system, made up of the set of production rules adopted within the entire wine-growing chain, starting from the practices in the field up to those for placing the product on the market.

Participation in the Viticultural Sustainability certification system is voluntary, it can be requested by individual or associated companies, through the modalities of participation, management and control already in use for SQNPI .

In fact, for the year 2022 , in the first application, the certification system of the Sustainability of the Wine Production Chain is based on the national integrated production guidelines , integrated with the principles of economic, environmental and social sustainability introduced in the SQNPI standard starting from the current year, and applicable to post-harvest.

Companies that demonstrate their compliance with the provisions of the "disciplinary" under the SQNPI regime in 2022 will obtain the issue of a specific certificate of sustainability of the wine production chain, which will allow the use of the distinctive SQNPI sign.
