
The Giovanni Paolo II Cancer Institute in Bari has obtained quality certification (according to the ISO 9001:2015 regulatory scheme) for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with lung cancer.
The healthcare facility communicates this, highlighting that the certification was assigned by the Csqa body , which confirms "the quality, timeliness and appropriateness of the diagnostic therapeutic care pathway that the institute is able to ensure", according to the guidelines of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology adopted by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
The institute highlights the salient elements of this path, first of all the "certain times for taking charge and the first diagnosis: from 22 to 41 days for the first diagnostic tests and outpatient visits".
