The teachers who work in the 23 locations of the illy University of Coffee spread throughout the world have obtained certification from ACS Italia , an organization that certifies the level of knowledge and skill in training.
All 50 teachers of illy's University of Coffee who have undertaken the accreditation process have obtained certification . The performance of the Trieste trainers who achieved the highest level of certification was particularly appreciated.
From its foundation in 1999 to today, the University of Coffee, a center of excellence created by illycaffè to promote, support and disseminate the culture of quality coffee throughout the world, has trained 345 thousand people.
Its courses are dedicated to production chain operators, growers, hospitality professionals and consumers.
The opening of branches of the University of Coffee on different continents allows us to be present in the area with specialized teachers from a technical and educational point of view, also satisfying specific local needs.
The courses are divided into different educational proposals , calibrated to the needs of the supply chain.
The courses allow growers to share the best agronomic techniques to be applied locally in the different production areas.
To professionals who work in bars, restaurants and hospitality , the University of Coffee offers specific training with permanent updating on the different preparations of coffee and on the management and promotion of commercial activity.
For enthusiasts, it organizes tasting sessions and educational courses to learn to appreciate and recognize the taste and aromas of different coffees around the world.

ACS Italia is an ACCREDIA accredited Personnel Certification Body, pursuant to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard (Certificate no. 0117PRS). The teachers of illy's University of Coffee are registered in the international register of the certifying body. ACS Italia issues the certification to the candidate who has successfully passed the exam and is in possession of all the required requirements, entering it in the register available on the website www.acsitalia.it.
