WHAT IS THAT
The emergency we are experiencing has made us aware of how essential it is to adopt adequate measures to ensure two fundamental aspects:
- the CONTINUITY OF THE SERVICE PROVIDED
- SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE for our most precious asset, our staff
To respond to these critical issues, CSQA has set up the Gap Analysis service which affects 4 pillars of epidemiological risk management :
WHY
The epidemiological emergency that has affected the whole world, and the expected economic repercussions, have highlighted the need for companies to equip themselves with systems aimed at ensuring :
- operational continuity even in emergency situations
- the need to react promptly and methodically to the reorganization of the company
- the need to protect workers and users through the sudden implementation of the provisions aimed at safeguarding health and safety
- respect for personal data and protection of privacy
- protect the administrators on whom the responsibilities concern (also in view of Legislative Decree 231) to ensure the protection and health of workers and privacy
AS
Businesses are reorganizing themselves to react to the emergency situation ( reactive approach ) but they will also have to equip themselves with strategic procedures to face "prepared" any crisis situations that may arise in the future ( proactive approach ).In addition to the legal provisions (national and regional), which define precise and punctual obligations (e.g. social distancing, safety devices, etc.), companies also have voluntary standardization available which defines methodologies aimed at achieving results . For some years now, voluntary standards have been in use such as ISO 31000 (which allows for risk assessment), ISO 45001 (which provides for the implementation of systems for safety in the workplace), ISO 22301 (on business continuity) and ISO 27001 (on data protection).
These standards can be a reference for defining the management methods for emergency situations and crises that can compromise the distribution chain or production activity and can also be used with a view to restoring activities in situations of safety .
KEY POINTS
The Gap Analysis activity aims to evaluate the degree of application, maturity, effectiveness and efficiency of company management systems aimed at risk management, business continuity management (production chain and distribution chain), worker safety (including cleaning and sanitization management) and information security. The Gap Analysis for crisis management provides a modular approach according to the needs of the organization , which can choose between one or more modules .
MODULAR APPROACH OF GAP ANALYSIS
OBJECTIVES OF THE GAP ANALYSIS
Based on the modules chosen, the Gap Analysis allows you to:
- identify one's own level of compliance with the reference mandatory standards
- receive an assessment with respect to the adequacy and efficiency of the corporate policies adopted
- identify the company's positioning with respect to the topics covered
- identify the actions to be taken in the face of any gaps or non-conformities
RESULTS OF THE GAP ANALYSIS
After the Gap Analysis in the field, an Executive Summary is created for the management, which reports the critical issues identified with the priorities relating to the implementation of the countermeasures to be adopted.
ADVANTAGES
Through the evaluation of the results expressed in the Gap Analysis Report, the company can direct its investments in an aware and objective way , defining, with the support of the experts, the optimal development plan with respect to its objectives.
It can also demonstrate the company due diligence both with respect to the adoption of the 231 model and with respect to the competent authorities.
