The Italian Red Cross has received ISO 9001 Certification from CSQA for the field of application "Design and Delivery of Level IV Training" .
There are two certified areas of intervention, "Health and safety" and "Organizational development" , with the aim of extending it to other potential sectors in the near future.
“What we are experiencing is the culmination of an important objective. Like all goals – declared Rosario Valastro, President of the Italian Red Cross – it is a starting point for new courses, for maintaining the current training standard and, perhaps, for improving it.
Preparation plays a fundamental role in the activities that the Red Cross Volunteers carry out in the area. I am happy because I believe that this is a further sign of maturity of our emblem, as well as an important driving force for the credibility of Volunteers and employees, a stimulus to greater commitment and improvement".
“This is a historic moment for the Association and our activities, since training has always been a strong point of the Association , in which the CRI has always believed and invested a lot. The quality of the preparation of our Volunteers – explained Cecilia Crescioli, General Secretary of the Italian Red Cross – is recognized externally, by institutions and other associations. Our goal is to extend the certification to other training courses in the future."
“There are not many associations that have started a procedure like this and that are active at a national level – added Massimo Dutto, Life Sciences Division Manager of CSQA – organizations like the Italian Red Cross which is present throughout the country. Volunteers use their time voluntarily to carry out activities and our responsibility is to ensure the appropriateness of their training."
