World Accreditation Day

World Accreditation Day is celebrated on 9 June 2021, the initiative of the IAF and ILAC to promote the value of conformity assessment activities globally.
World Accreditation Day is the global initiative launched by the international network of accreditation bodies adhering to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to enhance and disseminate knowledge of certifications, inspections, tests and calibrations carried out under accreditation.

This year's message underlines the importance of accreditation as a tool for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SEE ACCREDIA DETAILS on accredited certifications, inspections, tests and calibrations that help institutions, businesses and professionals achieve the 17 goals for sustainable development of the UN 2030 Agenda.

An international overview of the role of accreditation in support of the Public Administration is offered by the Publicsectorassurance website, while Businessbenefits   presents private sector case studies, research and application experiences on the use of conformity assessments by companies. The sites are the result of a collaboration between IAF and ILAC, together with the international standardization bodies ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) with the support of the International Association of Certification Bodies IIOC (Independent International Organization for Certification).
