To the south of the province of Salerno extends a rich plain: the Sele plain , the unique place which, thanks to the ideal climate also mitigated by the morphology of the landscape, expresses the best of itself through excellent productions, such as the Cauliflower of the Sele Plain . It is one of the most representative cultures of the entire area, characterized by a very low salt content and high protein levels. A precious food, also by virtue of the considerable concentrations of mineral elements fundamental for our metabolism such as phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron, as well as for its high content of vitamin C, which is truly a valid ally of health on the table .

Today, the Cauliflower of Piana del Sele supports the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer (LILT) on the occasion of the 2023 Pink Ribbon Campaign: an initiative which aims to raise awareness among all women of the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of breast tumors. From 26 October to 10 November, it will be possible to purchase one of the 40,000 packs of Healthy Cauliflower in the main large-scale retail chains in Lombardy, Esselunga and Bennet, thus contributing to the many initiatives aimed at prevention and early diagnosis that LILT Milano develops in the area.
