Italy confirms its leadership in the promotion of quality agri-food products, leading the certification of the first Geographical Indications (GI) of the Republic of Mauritius: Mauritius Rum and Mauritius Unrefined Sugar .
Thanks to the project “Technical Assistance on Geographical Indication for the Republic of Mauritius” , funded by the European Union and coordinated by Dr. Giovanni Galanti of Emerging Market International, the CSQA team transferred the Italian GI model, recognized globally for the protection and valorization of products, to the Mauritian institutions.
