Molini Pivetti SpA , a historic Italian company producing high-quality flours, and Yara Italia SpA , specialized in plant nutrition and sustainable agriculture, announce a long-term strategic collaboration to make the Campi Protetti Pivetti soft wheat supply chain more sustainable.

The partnership aims to implement the entire supply chain, improving the sustainability of soft wheat crops and strengthening the bond with farmers through advanced fertilization practices and innovative digital technologies. Through the integration of digital tools and the use of low-carbon fertilizers, Yara Italia and Molini Pivetti will support farmers in the Campi Protetti Pivetti supply chain, optimizing the use of nutrients and reducing environmental impact.

The agreement stems from a shared commitment to decarbonization and improving the carbon footprint, bringing value to every level of the production chain, as well as enhancing Molini Pivetti's commitment to combining tradition and innovation, in line with a corporate strategy that places sustainability at the center. "The partnership with Yara Italia allows us to strengthen Molini Pivetti's commitment to more sustainable agriculture," says Alessandro Zucchi , agronomist and head of Supply Chain Projects at Molini Pivetti. "Thanks to digital tools and innovative fertilizers, we will collaborate with our partners and farmers to grow soft wheat that is even more responsible, efficient and respectful of the environment."

Campi Protetti Pivetti is a 100% Emilian supply chain project, born in 2016 to guarantee quality and traceability along the entire production chain. Superior quality grains are grown in the provinces of Bologna, Modena and Ferrara, areas suited to this crop, in compliance with a rigorous specification, with the support of advanced agronomic practices and innovative tools for responsible production. This attention to the production process allows Molini Pivetti to offer excellent flours, such as the Gran Riserva line, the result of this “short supply chain”, certified by the CSQA body , which in 2022 also became partly “Sustainable”, supported by LCA analyses that measure the CO₂ emitted for each kilogram of flour produced. This approach, which integrates environmental, social and economic aspects, reflects Molini Pivetti's commitment to a sustainable agricultural supply chain linked to the Emilia region.
