Montasio DOP, a typical Friulian semi-hard cooked cheese that takes its name from the plateau of the same name located in the peaks of the Julian Alps, represents the eighth supply chain in the certified Italian cheese sector, with a production of around 800,000 forms of DOP product per year which generate a consumer value of 65 million euros, the result of the work of over 40 producers, 14 maturers and 795 livestock farms in the area.
