CSQA and ACS Italia have recognized the conformity of the processes and activities carried out in the joint ULSS 6 Euganea operational units with the certification of staff skills.
At Ulss 6 the certification of the Quality Management System and the certification of the skills of 24 operators involved in managing the improvement of the management system.
“We wanted to have our quality management system objectively validated by a third-party body with the aim - explained the general director of Ulss 6, Paolo Fortuna - of best guaranteeing the activities that are provided by our operational units in the various hospital facilities relating to the Services Area Department, the Cittadella Donor Milk Bank and the Functional Department of Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety.
We are also among the first to have the Prostate Cancer Diagnostic Therapeutic Path certified with the ISO standard. Not only that, we have all four emergency rooms in the emergency department.
CSQA responded to our need, carrying out both documentary and field analyses, and the certificates obtained today make us particularly proud given that, we were the first to also certify the skills of the first 24 operators who belong to the Network of Quality Representatives, who work and commit every day to maintain the system and improve it.
We are aware that this represents a starting point but we are also aware that in the Italian healthcare panorama we are pioneers in certifying processes and people jointly."
The new Quality system, whose implementation began at the end of 2021, led to the release of the CSQA certification and the related ACS Italia certifications, PDTA, paths and activities and staff skills.
"The project denotes - as underlined by Carlo Perini, president of CSQA - a strong desire on the part of Ulss 6 to abandon any form of self-referentiality and to want to recognize and invest in the skills of the staff, guaranteeing citizens services, structures and skills verified and certified.
As a CSQA group, which also integrates the services of ACS Italia, we are proud to have taken part in this innovative project" .
"The ISO 9001 certifications and the skills compliant with UNI 11889 are in line with the provisions of the strategy to supervise the activities guaranteeing appropriateness, compliance with the guidelines and high level competence", declared Dr. Marzia Serafini, project coordinator Ulss 6 certifications and first Quality manager with certified competence.
Adds Silvia Tacchi Venturi, Technical and Operation Manager of ACS Italia: “The project, pursuing a unique project in the Italian healthcare sector, applies for the first time the UNI 11889 standard referring to the figures who operate in the quality management system, a specific characterization for the healthcare sector, becoming innovative and pioneering”.
