CSQA has certified the Terme di Margherita di Savoia (BT) in compliance with the ISO 9001 and UNI 10865 standards.
The UNI 10865 certification is aimed at spa establishments and in particular at services provided by them, from treatments with proven therapeutic effects to mud treatments, from irrigation to inhalation therapies, to the intake of mineral waters.
The Apulian thermal establishment, which has an agreement with the National Health Service, is located between the sea and the largest salt pans in Europe; a place for vacation and treatment thanks to the quality of the mud and water used in the spa for the prevention and treatment of numerous pathologies. The sludge matures through prolonged contact for decades with the mother water in the salt pans and is mineralized by the deposition of the salts it contains. Even the thermal waters used (classified as salty-bromine-sulphur-iodic waters) come from the salt pan basins and are effective in the prevention and treatment of various respiratory, ear, dermatological, gynecological and osteoarticular pathologies.
The quality of spa treatments is an extremely important topic, in a strategic sector that fits between the health of the citizen and the enhancement of the tourist and environmental heritage.
The UNI 10865 standard establishes the requirements that the service offered by the thermal establishments must satisfy.
The standard highlights:
- fundamental services to be guaranteed to the client (reception, admission to treatment),
- preliminary information,
- behavior patterns during treatment,
- the procedure for the personalized aesthetic/curative treatment,
- the professionals involved.
- monitor and streamline processes and costs,
- improve internal management
- demonstrate to the market the compliance of your service with the legal requirements in a clear, objective and tangible way.
A Management System certified by a third party for the ISO 9001 and UNI 10865 standards allows the structure to equip itself with adequate procedures and implement continuous monitoring.
"Certification is for the customer" - declares Marina Lalli, Sole Director of Terme Di Margherita di Savoia, National Vice President of Federterme and National President of Federturismo - "an important assurance of the quality of the services offered by a company and for the latter, on the other hand, it is the possibility of validating the standards of its adopted processes, inspired by the principles of continuous improvement.
Our company, thanks also to the growth of thermal, medical and wellness tourism, is now oriented towards the global market to which we turn for the provision of our services. This market is increasingly complex, competitive and demanding. Therefore, only the most attentive realities, ie those that are able to understand their own limits and actively and concretely set to work to overcome them, are destined to stand out and collect important successes in terms of turnout and satisfaction from customers.
Covid-19 has contributed in particular to accelerating the development of medical tourism and more specifically it has led to having to demonstrate the ability to resilience and adapt. Our reality has shown that it possesses these qualities, implementing a post-Covid 19 rehabilitation protocol in 2021 also in agreement with the NHS. Thanks to this protocol, we were able to offer a prompt response to the needs that emerged following the development of the pandemic that hit us hard. We will therefore continue to work on all those organizational profiles that lead to real and tangible customer satisfaction."
