Vademecum controls for companies in the agri-food sector 2025
Vademecum controls for companies in the agri-food sector 2025 MASAF has published the Operational Plan for Controls in the Agri-food Sector 2025 (Poc 2025) together with the new "Vademecum for Controls for Companies in the Agri-food Sector" .

The Poc 2025 defines the control activities envisaged to counter these risks, including controls on labelling, traceability, fraud on the Community budget and animal welfare.

In addition to confirming the sectors of intervention already identified in 2024 - such as wine, oil, dairy, fruit and vegetables, cereals and derivatives, fish, meat, honey, animal feed, in addition to the fight against community fraud - significant innovations are also introduced.

In particular, the animal welfare sector has been included among the priorities, with specific checks entrusted to the forestry police and the NAS.

Furthermore, new risk factors will be introduced to protect the sector of buffalo milk produced daily for the production of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP.

In the fruit and vegetable sector, controls will be intensified, with particular attention to seasonality and imports, to ensure the correct indication of the origin of the products.

Finally, the last section of the document provides a Vademecum for companies , defining types of general controls :
  • labeling,
  • traceability,
  • unfair commercial practices;
and sectoral controls : wine, oil, dairy, fruit and vegetables, cereals, meat, honey, animal feed, BIO, DOP and IGP, fish, animal welfare (for livestock), with an indication of the relative sanctioning provisions applied in the event of any violations found. (Source: https://www.arsedizioni.it/ )
