CSQA has issued the first certification of the traceability system of "LEGNO VENETO" to the Consorzio Legno Veneto , according to a short forest-wood supply chain agreement between Veneto companies.
The certification therefore comes as a guarantee of the origin of the product in order to favour, promote and support the creation of a market for wood from the forests of the Veneto Region, involving all operators in the forest-wood supply chain.
The "Legno Veneto" brand is based on the adhesion of associated and non-member companies to a supply chain traceability system , from the forest to the finished product and aims to offer the consumer wood products which, in addition to the quality of the raw material, have the following additional characteristics:
- local origin of wood products (production and processing in the Veneto region), with the associated social, environmental and economic advantages:
- reduced CO2 production;
- link with the local tradition of wood processing;
- maintenance of the economic, environmental and social functions that forests perform for the community;
- enhancement of the quality of timber from certified forests located in areas of high environmental value.
- origin from forests certified for sustainable forest management according to internationally recognized standards within the IAF or ISEAL.
- processing and transformation of products by companies that adopt a Chain of Custody according to internationally recognized standards in the IAF or ISEAL area.
The certificate was delivered on Saturday 1 October 2022 to Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta (PD) as part of the CASEUS 2022 event, where the new Veneto Agricoltura stand (“Casa Veneto”) was installed, supplied and installed by Manaly scarl , with certified Veneto wood from Val Visdende di Comelico.
